Fresh off the release of the vampire/western mash-up From Dusk Till Dawn, indie film bad boy Robert Rodriguez delivered one of the most reverential and entertaining sci-fi horror films of the ‘90s. Written by Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer scribe Kevin Williamson, The Faculty is a love letter to paranoid classics like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Thing, Class of 1999 and even Hello Mary Lou, Prom Night 2.   

Featuring an impossible to replicate cast including Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings), Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious), Josh Hartnett (30 Days of Night), Clea DuVall (But I’m a Cheerleader), Laura Harris (Dead Like Me), Shawn Hatosy (Ready or Not 2), Usher (She’s All That), Famke Janssen (X-Men), Salma Hayek (Desperado), Piper Laurie (Carrie), Bebe Neuwirth (Fraiser), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), and Jon Stewart (The Daily Show), The Faculty perfectly captures the era's blend of teen angst, razor-sharp wit, and creature-feature thrills, following a mismatched group of high school students who begin to suspect the faculty at Harrington High has been taken over by an extraterrestrial parasite. If they can't stop the invasion before graduation, humanity doesn't stand a chance.

Packed with gooey splatter from the legendary KNB EFX Group (The Walking Dead), brilliant one-liners, and a killer mid ‘90s soundtrack, the film has only grown in reputation earning its place as a beloved favorite, and a reminder to always question authority…especially if that authority are aliens bent on world domination!
