10th Anniversary!
In honor of the 10th anniversary of POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING, we’re cranking up the volume, polishing the bedazzled microphones, and celebrating one of the most brilliant music comedies of the 21st century.
From the twisted minds of Saturday Night Live’s The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone), and produced by Judd Apatow, this 2016 mockumentary follows Conner4Real (Samberg), a former member of the hip-hop trio The Style Boyz who has gone solo, become a global superstar, and developed an ego roughly the size of his entire entourage combined. But when his sophomore album tanks, Conner’s career and questionable friendships begin to implode.
Featuring an absolutely legendary cast, including Sarah Silverman, Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, and a ridiculous parade of iconic cameos including Questlove, Usher, 50 Cent, Carrie Underwood, Nas, and Michael Bolton, POPSTAR delivers musical masterpieces like “I’m So Humble,” “Finest Girl (Bin Laden Song),” and “Turn Up the Beef,” whose brilliant hooks belie the total stupidity of their lyrics.
Like Connor’s sophomore album, the film bombed at the box office, but with years and podcasts between, POPSTAR has found a devoted following among comedy fans who will never let it go! Because quitting is for people who aren't even about the 47-disc limited edition box set.

“Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is a genius satire as the musical mockumentary genre gets an update for the 21st century.”
– Danielle Solzman, SOLZY AT THE MOVIES
“Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is universally, gloriously stupid. And that’s not a slight — it takes a considerable amount of smarts to make something that so winningly observes the ridiculous facade of the pop music sphere, but gives it a wide-ranging reach.”
– Kevin Jagernauth, THE PLAYLIST
“Handing Lonely Island $20 million and unleashing them onto the pop music landscape is a no-miss proposition.”
– Chris McCoy, MEMPHIS FLYER
