Vaishali Sinha’s (Ask the Sexpert) stirring, tender and funny new documentary follows the indomitable, 83-year-old Dr. Sujoy K. Guha, a visionary whose 1970s quest to develop a reversible male contraceptive – the first breakthrough since the modern condom was invented 200 years ago – set out to redefine reproductive responsibility forever and transform women’s lives worldwide. Decades later, his pioneering work continues to echo, inspiring a new generation of scientists, startups, and activists in India and the US despite the combination of human greed and bureaucracy that has so far prevented it reaching the masses. 

Taking us on a high-stakes, deeply human journey where science meets stubborn persistence, GIVE IT A SHOT challenges long-held norms about who carries the burden of family planning.
