It’s Christmastime, and the Griswolds are preparing for a perfect family seasonal celebration. However, things never run smoothly for Clark (Chevy Chase), his wife Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo), and their two kids. Clark’s continual bad luck is worsened when his hick cousin, Eddie (Randy Quaid), and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property.
