Marking a triumphant return to the big screen for Jim Henson’s beloved troupe of felt-and-fur icons, The Muppets reintroduced a new generation to the magic, music, and heartfelt chaos that made these lovable mischief-makers icons of the 1970s and ‘80s.

Directed by James Bobin and written by lifelong Muppet devotee Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, the film follows small-town brothers Gary (Segel) and Walter — the world’s biggest Muppet fan — along with Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams), as they discover that greedy oil tycoon Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) plans to demolish the Muppet Theater. To save their historic home, Walter and friends reunite Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, and the rest of the gang for one last all-star telethon.

2011, 103 minutes, USA, directed by James Bobin, Rated PG
