35mm Screening!

The second big-screen outing for Jim Varney’s (Toy Story 1 & 2) unforgettable character, Ernest P. Worrell, finds the well-meaning but accident-prone Ernest working as a cab driver in Orlando when he crosses paths with none other than Santa Claus, who’s in search of his successor. What follows is a mix of slapstick chaos, earnest heart, and Varney’s signature physical comedy as Ernest does his best to save the day in his own unconventional way.

A cult holiday favorite, Ernest Saves Christmas helped cement Ernest as one of the most recognizable comic creations of the late 1980s. Originally born from a series of local TV ads, Ernest evolved into a full-fledged pop culture phenomenon, leading a string of feature films that showcased Varney’s unique blend of goofball humor and surprising sincerity. So come out early, grab a cocktail, and get ready to get your “knowhutimean” on!
