A sentimental father-daughter dramatic-comedy rooted in Holocaust memory follows an observant Israeli son who travels to Budapest to reclaim a fabled wartime ring tied to his mother’s survival.
Arnon (Israeli superstar Adir Miller, The Matchmaker, The Secrets), a driving instructor with a gambling problem who’s gone adrift, persuades his estranged daughter Alma (Joy Rieger, June Zero, Greener Pastures), whose coming out he never fully accepted, to join the search for the heirloom that had saved their family. As they contend with bureaucratic hurdles, antisemitism, unexpected generosity, and memories from ailing matriarch Violetta (Tikva Dayan, Seven Blessings), the first steps toward reconnection emerge.
Drawn from his family history and written and co-directed by Miller, this deeply personal and gently affecting journey across three generations balances humor and heartbreak as a father’s quest becomes a chance to reweave a family story frayed by hurt and time.
This screening takes place at Enzian Theater (1300 S Orlando Ave, Maitland, FL 32751).

“Adir Miller’s energy and intensity as an actor manage to keep the story on track, and the audience will be with him every step of the way. Like Tikva Dayan, he demonstrates his ability to mix comedy and drama here.”
