John Carpenter's mind-bending "Apocalypse Trilogy" (The Thing and Prince of Darkness) reaches a terrifying conclusion with In the Mouth of Madness, presented in glorious 35mm as we pay tribute to the great Sam Neill. 

Fresh off the massive global success of Jurassic Park, Neill delivers one of the most intense performances of his career (named his best by The Guardian in 2025) as cynical insurance investigator John Trent, who is hired to locate the missing bestselling horror author Sutter Cane (Jürgen Prochnow, The Keep), whose books have become a worldwide obsession. Trent's investigation soon leads him to the eerie town of Hobb's End, where the line between fiction and reality begins to dissolve, unleashing monstrous creatures, impossible horrors, and the terrifying realization that Cane's stories aren't predicting the apocalypse, they're creating it.

With an incredible cast including David Warner (Waxwork), Bernie Casey (Revenge of the Nerds), John Glover (Scrooged) and the incomparable Charlton Heston, Carpenter's 1994 Lovecraftian dreamscape is a dazzling showcase of effects, existential dread, and razor-sharp satire about the power of mass media hysteria.
