If Mary Shelley and John Waters had a baby, it might look something like Frank Henenlotter's gloriously demented Frankenhooker. Following the cult hits Basket Case and Brain Damage, Henenlotter doubled down on his obsession of lovable weirdos with a movie that asks the important question: “What if Frankenstein built his bride out of New York's finest streetwalkers...with the help of a little drug called Supercrack?”

 

After accidentally turning his fiancée into lawn fertilizer, amateur scientist Jeffrey Franken hits the streets in search of replacement parts, creating a neon-drenched patchwork woman who quickly proves to be far more than he bargained for. At its electrified center is Patty Mullen, whose unforgettable performance as the stitched-together title character remains one of horror's most delightfully bizarre creations. The result is a delirious explosion of outrageous practical effects, gloriously gooey gore, sublime camp, and enough quotable dialogue to fuel midnight screenings for decades.
