    The Last Dragon:

In this martial arts cult classic, Leroy Green—nicknamed “Bruce Leroy”—is a young kung fu student in Harlem on a quest to achieve the final level of martial arts mastery known as “The Glow.” Guided by the teachings of Bruce Lee, Leroy embarks on a journey of self-discovery, inner strength, and love. Along the way, he becomes the unlikely protector of Laura Charles (Pop-singer Vanity), a glamorous video show host targeted by a ruthless music promoter and his thugs.

Standing in Leroy’s path is the flamboyant and fearsome villain Sho’nuff, the self-proclaimed “Shogun of Harlem,” who challenges him both physically and spiritually. As the tension escalates, Leroy must confront his fears, embrace his destiny, and unlock the ultimate power within himself to defeat evil and become The Last Dragon.

The Last Dragon is a unique cultural fusion of East-meets-West, martial arts cinema, 1980s music video aesthetics, and Motown soul—brought to life through Berry Gordy’s distinctive creative vision.

1985, 109 minutes, USA, directed by Michael Schultz, Rated PG-13

    • “The cheese-tastic Harlem-set kung-fu flick The Last Dragon – produced by Motown mogul Berry Gordy – is best enjoyed on a big screen with a friend or two and more than a couple pitchers of beer!”

      – Thaddeus McCollum, ORLANDO WEEKLY
    • “Howlingly goofy artifact from the silliest part of the 1980s.”

      – Scott Weinberg, EFILMCRITIC.COM
    • “It is crammed with kung-fu, singing, rapping, dancing and video art, and no moment goes by without at least three of these things transpiring simultaneously.”

      – Janet Maslin, NEW YORK TIMES
    • “It's so entertaining that I could almost recommend it!”
