Jack Spade (Keenen Ivory Wayans) comes home to the ghetto and finds his brother dead from a gold chain overdose. With the help of his hero, John Slade (Bernie Casey), and a team of washed-up crime fighters, Spade declares vengeance on Mr. Big (John Vernon), the white crime leader responsible for selling gold chains on the streets. But Spade realizes that he must take matters into his own hands to finish the job.
Comedian Keenan Ivory Waynes (In Living Color) exploded onto the silver screen in this zany spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films and called in some big guns to assist him, including Antonio Fargas (Foxy Brown), Steve James (The Warriors), Isaac Hayes (Shaft), Jim Brown (Slaughter) and many more!
1988, 88 minutes, USA, Directed by Keenen Ivory Waynes, Rated R
-
“Unrelenting, unremitting, a brilliant broad-brush of a parody.”
– Leslie Goff, EMPIRE MAGAZINE -
“An extremely funny movie that presents a torrent of insightful gags at breakneck pace.”
– TV Guide -
“There's so much energy in this satire, that you can't help laughing at its bawdy charm. Clumsy, irreverent, adolescent, yes. And often very funny.”
