However, when Sam is murdered by friend and corrupt business partner Carl Bruner (Tony Goldwyn) over a shady business deal, he is left to roam the earth as a powerless spirit. When he learns of Carl’s betrayal, Sam must seek the help of psychic Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg) to set things right and protect Molly from Carl and his goons.

1990, 127 Minutes, Directed by Jerry Zucker, Rated PG-13

  • "One of the finest (and weepiest) love stories ever to hit the big screen, Ghost is a a fundamental human tale that touches the hardest heart."

    - Philip Thomas, EMPIRE MAGAZINE
  • "A wonderful movie, sincere and inspired, with four terrific performances and a story that doesn't let up. The picture has the gentle, nourishing quality of a fairy tale that you want to believe, and the unsoftened impact of gut-level entertainment."

    - Mick LaSalle, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE
  • "A perfect balance of laughs and tears, a sparklingly funny script and a clever fantasy about ghostly goings on make this a superior blockbuster romance."
