Gone with the Wind
This is the big one! Based on Margaret Mitchell’s epic Civil War novel, Vivien Leigh stars as Scarlett O’Hara, a beautiful, spoiled, and determined Southern belle who meets her match in Rhett Butler (Clark Gable), a dashing and rebellious charmer. Academy Awards® for Best Picture, Actress (Leigh), and eight others. GONE WITH THE WIND has myriad characters, wonderful production values, and is the definitive example of old, big-studio moviemaking. Little wonder this movie has been woven into the fabric of our culture.
