The directorial debut of THE FULL MONTY producer Uberto Pasolini, MACHAN is another story of men hatching an unusual plan to hang on to their self-esteem and the extreme measures people will take to better their fortunes.  Inspired by real-life events surrounding a group of poor Sri Lankans who tried to emigrate to Europe by posing as a national handball team, this lighthearted ensemble work has won 10 international film festival awards, including two at Venice.
